As climate related disasters become more prevalent, new research suggests that local governments should include a fourth ‘R’ – for resilience – in addition to their traditional 'rates, roads and rubbish' remits. What would a resilience remit look like, and what support from other levels of government is required? This webinar unpacks new research: 'Inquiry into housing policy and disaster: better coordinating actors, responses and data'. Discussion explores what effective disaster management approaches look like, and how coordination and collaboration between governments can be improved to support disaster resilient housing and communities.
