Science and Technology

Science and Technology develops students’ skills in thinking, investigating and problem-solving. It gives them knowledge and skills in scientific investigation, design and applied technology. This subject builds on the curiosity children have about their natural and built environments.

The teaching and learning of Science and Technology is based on the new NSW Board of Studies K-10 Science and Technology syllabus. It is the Key Learning Area where all students actively learn by:

  • Developing competency and creativity in using the processes of Working Scientifically ²¹²Ô»åÌý°Â´Ç°ù°ì¾±²Ô²µÌý°Õ±ð³¦³ó²Ô´Ç±ô´Ç²µ¾±³¦²¹±ô±ô²â
  • Developing Knowledge and Understanding through the Natural Environment (Physical World, Earth and Space, Living World, Material World) ²¹²Ô»åÌýMade Environment (Built Environments, Information, Products, Material World)

Our programs ensure that students engage in learning experiences that involve both scientific and technological content and processes. We encourage students to express their understandings imaginatively and creatively while acquiring a broad range of practical skills.
