In an exciting first, ���������and researchers from University of NSW, RMIT University, University of Tasmania and Swinburne University have released findings from the ���������Inquiry ‘Affordable housing industry capacity’ in an easy-to-understand visual report. The research advances our understanding of Australia’s affordable housing industry and its capacity to expand.

���������Executive Director Dr Ian Winter has been invited by the Australian Government to join a Cities Reference Group to help advise Government on cities policy. Dr Winter joins experts from property, planning, infrastructure, architecture, local government and academia on the specialist reference group.

Whatever the respective merits of home ownership and superannuation as forms of ‘forced saving’, it is difficult to find compelling evidence that giving first home buyers access to their superannuation for a house deposit will be effective, particularly in a context of constrained housing supply.
